Tip of the day: How to stop your Husband from Waiting in the Car For You

As promised here is the tip of the day from my great grandmother on marriage, 1950’s style!

“This is how I broke my husband of going out to the car before I was ready, and sitting there honking and yelling, “Well, come on!”

After just one time too many, I knew I must do something about the man.  So I picked up my purse and swinging it blithely on my arm, I went skipping out to the car.

You should have seen the look on his face!  I was in my slip!  Needless to say, that was the end of the “Come on!” habit.

That is your tip of the day, courtesy Hulda Helberg.

  1. Oh I love this! It's so funny. I can just see it now. The husband in his suit sittin' in the car honkin' the horn of that 57 chevy (or any vintage car). Here comes the wife in her slip, curls bouncing and lipstick shinin' red on her smile, just swingin' that "vintage" purse on her wrist. What would the neighbors think. LOL
