I love decorating with vintage, and it seems like every week, I have my favorite items in my home that bring me joy and memories. That is what vintage does for me, it takes me back, or gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling.
This week, I bring you three comforting vintage items in my home that bring such comfort and joy.
My vintage Pyrex mixing bowls. I have been using these for much more thank mixing lately. The bowls are great for serving salads or desserts in as well. The pattern is a white and blue Butterprint that is perfect for summer. I love these particular bowls because my grandmother was the former owner. Every time I use them, I think of her.
The next item is my favorite vase/small pitcher. This pitcher was previously my great grandmothers, as well as my grandmothers. I love the fact that it is signed by one of my great aunts, whom I think made it! Love, love, love that! This pitcher not only has such a summer feel to it, it also has my favorite flower, the sun flower painted on the front.
Finally, I have a beautiful door, by my front door, that brings back fond memories for my husband. This door belonged on the house he grew up in. The house was lovingly restored by his parents, and when they had to move out, they handed this door down to us. Beautiful and rustic. Takes me to a place we all loved to visit.
What are some of the vintage items that give you warm memories?
